Wow! What a fun few weeks I have had! We went camping at the Oregon coast. It was so beautiful, but cold! I can't believe the coast is only an hour away, yet the temperature is so different. While it was 98 degrees here, it was 62 degrees at the coast, and sooooo windy. It was hard to spend much time at the actual beach area because of the cold wind. I caught a nasty cold and lost my voice for a few days. But we had a lot of fun. We went to the Newport aquarium and did a lot of shopping ;D I took the kids to the tide pools where they were so excited to see marine hermit crabs. I took a picture of a really cute one.

I also got to see my sister, who I miss so terribly much. I only get to see her once or twice a year. It kills me to say goodbye. All through high school we were best friends, and she was my roommate at college. I wish she could move here. We all bawled when it was time to say goodbye.

I have so much catching up to do. I was in a frenzy trying to clean up after all the running around we have done. And my poor son, I found him crying this morning. He had just finished reading Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. I gave him a big hug. I will post a few pictures in a bit, from our camping trip. Hope everyone is safe and healthy.
